Linda and Raph's wedding day was a true celebration of two families coming together, with culture, family, and the things they love thoughtfully woven throughout the day.
They traveled all the way from Washington state to Indianapolis to celebrate with family and friends, creating a day at The Crane Bay Event Center filled with soft blues, fresh greenery, classic white florals, and details that felt unmistakably like them.
From a quiet first look before the festivities began to a Filipino tradition incorporated into their reception, Linda and Raph created a celebration that honored where they came from while celebrating where they are going together.
The Vision
Linda and Raph envisioned a celebration that felt soft, romantic, and elegant while keeping family and culture at the heart of the day.
Before joining all of their loved ones, they chose to share a sentimental first look followed by couples portraits. It gave them a chance to slow down, see each other, and spend a little time together before the excitement of the ceremony and reception began.
Their design incorporated soft shades of blue, fresh greenery, and white florals throughout The Crane Bay. Personal details were mixed in along the way, including Funko Pop! cake toppers that couldn't have been more fitting for the two of them.
Those little details are some of our favorites. A wedding can be elegant and beautiful while still leaving room for the things that make you you.
Bringing It All Together
Once Linda and Raph were officially married, it was time to transform their ceremony details for the celebration ahead.
Their ceremony florals were repurposed for the reception, allowing the beautiful arrangements to be enjoyed in an entirely new way for the remainder of the evening. While the space was being flipped, our Navi Coordination team was also behind the scenes helping Linda bustle her gown and preparing her to head into the reception.
Of course, wedding days occasionally bring an unexpected hiccup or two. When Linda and Raph's photobooth wasn't working properly, our team got on the phone with the rental company and began troubleshooting. We were able to work through the issue and get it functioning so their guests could get back to creating memories.
It's not necessarily the part of coordination that makes it into the wedding photos, but it's a big part of what allows our couples and their families to stay focused on the celebration instead.
From Ceremony to Celebration
Family was at the center of Linda and Raph's reception, and nowhere was that more evident than during the speeches.
Four different speeches were shared by their parents, maid of honor, and best man, and somehow each one seemed more sentimental than the last. With loved ones gathered from different places to celebrate them, these moments felt especially meaningful.
Linda and Raph also incorporated Filipino heritage into their reception through a traditional money dance. As they danced together, family and friends pinned money onto the couple, turning a reception tradition into another opportunity to celebrate their marriage while honoring family and culture.
It was exactly the kind of personal touch that made their day feel like so much more than a beautiful wedding. It was a celebration of the people, traditions, and experiences that helped bring them to this moment.
The Final Result
Linda and Raph's wedding was sentimental at every turn.
They traveled across the country to bring their people together. They made time for a quiet first look before the celebration began. They listened as the people closest to them shared heartfelt words about their relationship. They honored Filipino heritage on the dance floor. And, of course, their Funko Pop! cake toppers made sure a little bit of their personality was sitting right on top of the wedding cake.
For a couple who loves to travel and has family spread across different places, there was something especially meaningful about having everyone gathered together in one room.
